Right now, the reports are saying NYC may/maybe not be in path of Storm Henri. Put it this way: we’re getting rain and lots of it. If 8.22.21 was going to be a snowstorm, it would be a metric whomp-ton of snow. Sunday matches up with aberrant weather patterns of nearly a dozen freak precipitation events from the city’s past. As bad as Sandy? I don’t think so. There was an element of surprise and language of underground structural damage to the Sandy storm that I’m not seeing on paper with this one. This is A Lot of Rain that will cause some subway flooding. Inconvenient, yes.
