Libra Forecast for October 2020
(September 23 – October 22)
Librans have been experiencing an enjoyable time (for the most part!) when it comes to socialising and hitting personal goals. It appears that you’ve been catching up with someone you’ve known for some time, someone you consider to be as close as family, in addition to having helpful friends introduce you to an expert advisor. Sometimes this can also indicate taking a long distance trip that sets you on the path of learning in a crash course style. Enjoy all of this because it is your one respite from the overall mayhem of these months, especially as a frustrating situation at home cannot be remedied right away and will take through the end of this year into the first quarter of the New Year to resolve.
The tension involves a collaboration effort or a situation where you are being asked to revise all the past garbage of how you relate to other people, especially as your attempt to reach someone evokes all this festering murk deep inside your psyche that makes it feel as if you’re spoiling for a fight. Don’t go there.
Simply accept the wait for what it is and the limitations for what they are. It’s not the time for a close personal relationship or a viable collaboration. Do not take things personally or provoke this other party because they, like everyone else during this time, are simply trying to get as long as best they can, and the reasons for their unavailability may have absolutely nothing to do with you. Alternately, this can indicate a family member taking care of a health concern this month.
October 1st marks a 2-week trend where you can pretty much expect to experience a conflict or a difference of opinion that feels aggressive, especially when it comes to your career. The point of all of this is to observe what feelings this dredges up so you can revise them. If you’re already working together on a collaborative project, it seems like something from way long ago is holding you back or causing you to regard it in a particularly impatient or exasperated way.
Accept that this is going to be a long-term effort that requires steady, persistent hard work, one step at a time—and you’ll be okay. It also looks as if this other person is dealing with a major appliance malfunction that has them distracted, especially on account of the major expense implied, and this has put them out of commission. The first week of October is not ideal for taking any big financial risks. Or, let’s say you’re having a night out on the town—keep close watch on your bank statements for anything that looks off, because this could be something as simple as a technical glitch that creates an accidental double-charge of some fee. (This would be toward the 19th.)
The week of October 10th brings a pleasant opportunity to make use of someone’s electronic resources—which just might be a fancy way of saying you could have a Zoom date with someone who is located at a distance. Try not to get your hopes up too high regarding a personal goal because the current climate for risk-taking (and even dating) is not ideal. If you have children, you’re probably faced with tuition or club dues on their behalf. Toward October 12th, your compassion comes into play with those around you. You could be feeling particularly helpful and “mothering” toward your clan and those you work with, especially as everyone is dealing with the same big Unknowns that have been hanging over this entire year.
For Librans, this Unknown may take the form of a schedule that’s been set adrift or uncertainty regarding employment and health matters. Sometimes this implies a loss in this area or something being wrong with a medication that gets recalled (or already was recalled this past summer.) Once we get past the first quarter of the New Year, much of this sensation will start to ease.
The days surrounding October 15-16th mark a new 4-week trend that feels a bit pushy-shove-y, stirring up reactionary emotions again regarding a direct confrontation regarding your career and thoughts of “Should I stay, or should I go now?” Essentially, this is setting the stage for encouraging you (perhaps not in the most comfortable or kindest of ways) to revise a fraught negotiation. “My way or the highway! Take it or leave it, huff, huff!” And this involves a very formal document that awaits your perusal.
If it’s not coming from your landlord or a family member, it could be coming from those who represent a business, and you can bet on the terms being deflating.
Again, rein in any impulse to be reactive in your response, which might be easier said than done. This is a month of big emotions, and if you’re aware of this, then it’s easier be more conscientious (hopefully, at any rate). Toward the 18th, it will be all too easy to succumb to self-criticism and unhealthy forms of escapism—take the time out you need to revive and regain balance. The best way would be to have a long phone call with an old friend.
October 19th offers potential for a blow-out within the home, either in the form of an argument or a situation where you’re trying to make something big budge but the tendency is to get a little carried away. This could also simply be a desire to make a domestic move due to the intensity of your local environment.
The 21st presents an opportunity to sell a property, collect home-related insurance or else receive a helpful gift or payment from a family member. Alternately, you could be selling a valuable heirloom or establishing a home-based business that helps others as well as helping yourself—this could be a hidden talent that you have and have taken for granted, up to this point. A close partner could be landing employment at this time. With all this comes another unsettled big emotion or apprehension about leaving the home to engage with the world at large again—simply the idea of taking that risk.
Halloween brings a second, blue full moon that offers a proverbial chocolate treat along with a rock hard lump of bubblegum in the next two weeks, but this could go either way. The lump would be an expense for a creative venture that you intend to make your career, or the chocolate could be job benefits and insurance that arrive suddenly. It’s either an ouch that draws upon your savings or weighs upon your credit card just as you manage to finalise payment on another, or else it’s a swift switch-up in residences (to a new place or to someone else’s!). The treat is that in spite of this expense, you are approaching a place of improved security.
