Taurus Forecast for January 2021
(April 20 – May 20)
Taurus is in a Get Things Done mode, aiming for streamlined efficiency, especially for a brand new, champing-at-the-bit New Year. During the next two weeks, your focus appears to be on straightening out old pending insurance, credit and financial matters. This entails speaking to reps and experts who can assist. Everyone at this time is operating from a place where the emotions can feel at odds with the intellect. And sometime this provides a necessary escape.
Some Taureans may see this play out in the form of learning a new, useful skill or devoting themselves to writing. Others may travel. The focus is on a child, or a loved one who is taking a new bold step with their career. As for you, this is a good time to catch up on old correspondence and emails. The act of getting away or learning something new feeds the inspiration you need for your career.
It looks like there’s something you’ve been toiling on in private that finally sees the light of day. You’re super-motivated to start 2021 as a fresh, tabula rasa but then something appears to put the brakes on the effort that you’re still trying to push through. In some sense, this is a measure of self-discipline and taming of the impulse that lurks beneath the surface.
January 13th marks a deeply transformative four weeks that mark a new, self-directed start where you establish your own career authority. You appear to be releasing an old way of thinking or an old outlook as you reach for new and more profitable work. Depending on your age, this can indicate a milestone or the retirement of someone you’ve looked up to as a trusted authority, but it could come across as entirely unexpected. This can also indicate disruptive activity that transpires within a close partner’s home or family, particularly with an older in-law. This could also involve legal paperwork for a sales transaction, best defined as a fresh start on an old matter.
Think back to March 2020’s lockdown news. You learned to be self-disciplined within the face of chaos and appeared to be on the edge of all things new until some time in May, when it dawned on you, “Oh, I have to go finish this other old thing first and finally see it through to completion.” Duty prevailed in tying up loose ends and you likely started seeing the light at the end of that tunnel toward the second half of December, which put you back to New Territory with your work.
You demonstrate mastery when it comes to leading a team and handling technology, and there’s more that you want to do, change and alter…and, of course, make up for lost time with a team of sled dogs wearing jetpacks.
Let’s say you’re into doing heavy renovations or revisions. Don’t opt to DIY the electrical wiring. A fundamental disagreement is showing up at this time between you and a partner, who has an old guard attitude—and this doesn’t have to mean a personal relationship as much as someone you work with on a 1:1 basis, like an editor, attorney, a professional advisor. It’s someone with clout and expertise in their field.
The week of 1.13.21 through 1.23.21 promises to deliver a lot on everyone’s plate, from the news headlines to closer to home. Your line of thinking or philosophical outlook may not be in step with those around you, so this is what needs to be assessed.
It looks as if you’re waiting on news of some outside funding or capital to come through by contract, and hopefully it will do so before Mercury turns retro on 1.31.20 to backtrack over this territory. Either you’re putting in long, ridiculous hours on a project that leaves you feeling both wired, anxious and exhausted. Alternately, you could be dealing with a challenging situation at work that requires patience rather than wild reactions. Be prepared to Go Nowhere Very Fast, in other words.
The best thing going right now for the Bull is that you’ve got a lot of grit, determination and discipline as well as a good team you can rely on. Your ability to organize on the fly will be your charm for getting through this month’s hiccups, and you have helpful friends, too. Expect the home/work front to be a little jumpy through the 26th, that is, if you’re not literally in transit between locales. Taking time out to take care of yourself and family is a good idea, along with a healthy dose of cautious optimism.
1.28.21 marks a new 2-week trend that reflects some annoyance over recent home/work setbacks, but you’re truly blessed. Mercury turns retrograde on the 31st through February 20th so be prepared to revisit financially-related work matters and communications, along with insurance or outside capital, credit and funding concerns between now through March.
